Family at home in a Chicago-area house

Smart home installation in Chicago and the suburbs.

We design, install, configure and support smart home technology in the kind of houses we live in ourselves — city bungalows, two-flats and suburban family homes across Chicagoland.

What's different about Chicago-area homes.

Winter is the reason we start with water

Chicago's freeze-thaw cycle is hard on supply lines, and an unheated basement or a crawlspace above a garage is where they let go. Leak sensors and an automatic main-water shut-off are the upgrades we recommend most here, because a burst line while you're away is the one problem that gets expensive fast.

Older housing stock, newer technology

Bungalows, two-flats, greystones and post-war suburban homes were never wired for any of this. Everything we install works over your existing wiring, plumbing and Wi-Fi wherever possible — we survey coverage first rather than assuming a signal reaches the garage or the back of the yard.

Alleys, garages and side doors

A lot of Chicago homes are entered from the alley or a detached garage, not the front porch. Camera placement and garage automation matter more here than in a suburb where everyone parks out front, and we plan coverage around how your household actually comes and goes.

One team, city and suburbs

We design, install and support across the city and the surrounding suburbs. When something needs adjusting later, the person who comes back is a short drive away — not a ticket in a national queue.
